My partner recently took the leap to start their own private practice, and they inquired my help to make them a custom website. Of course I said yes – I had a lot of fun making it too!

Tech Stack

This project was built using Next.js and hosted on Vercel. Pages and components were written in TypeScript and styled using TailwindCSS.

Home Page

Lake Counseling offers playful therapy for kids, so they wanted their brand to fit the part and communicate a playful tone. This was accomplished using a combination of bright colors, modern typefaces, an image cutout of Lakeland as a child, and a comfortable layout with plenty of whitespace. Lake Counseling also wanted to have something fun on the home page, so a floating button was added to the bottom left corner which pops confetti when it's clicked.
